Developed by having the first tutorial as a workshop on the theme what makes a good tutorial - ideas from each tutorial taken to the whole class and agreed upon

Assessing tutorial participation 10% of final mark

1. Active involvement
2. Coherent discussion/not rambling off the topic
3. Constructive tactful criticism of other ideas
4. Keeping tut on track
5. Knowing when to stop speaking/not dominating conversation
6. Listening attentively
7. Participating constructively in discussion
8. Relevance of contribution
9. Respect and sensitivity to other ideas
10. Turning up with one page summary
