Murray-Darling Basin Environmental Policy and Planning field trip

This 5 day field trip will expose you to many environmental policy and planning issues. You will be given the chance to talk to people "on the ground" about EPP and also have a good time doing it. The areas you will be visiting are:

  • Albury - Work with the MDB Fresh Water Research Centre to talk about science and Environmental education and EPP, (maybe) work with Albury City Council on Environmental education
  • Warrenbayne - Boho - Landcare issues
  • Tatura - Role of research in EPP
  • Tom Dumaresq: Irrigation farming issues, farm diversification and the power of single individuals to initiate change
  • Dharnya Aboriginal Cultural Centre in the Barmah Forest:Aboriginal heritage, native title and land use issues
  • Kerang: Living with salinity, community environmental education, rural restructuring
  • Return trip: The geography of wine tasting at All Saints Winery
